Are there any style combinations that you object to?
Using expensive items to substitute for actual style. There's a difference between wearing a $5000 jacket for example, and effortlessly pulling it off as part of a look, and simply wearing something pricey to prove you can afford it.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?
Piling on too many trends at once.
Do you believe in role models?
As far as style inspiration, absolutely. Some role models of mine include Poison Ivy of the Cramps, Nick Cave, and Carine Roitfeld.
What are your favourite fabrics?
Leather, silk chiffon, and fur.
Which city has the best-dressed women?
New York City.
Would you say that you are conservative or bold?
Definitely bold. I'm not afraid of making a statement. In fact, I'd rather do so.
What are the rules in the way you dress?
Non-conformist.
Celebrities and style...
Isn't always what it seems. Most of the time, a stylist is making the choices behind the scenes.
Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?
Sky-high platforms.
A woman should always look like…
She is wearing her look and not vice versa.
Who taught you what you know about style?
I have always idolised Kate Moss.
How do you select your clothing every morning?
In a few moments; at this point my wardrobe is curated to only pieces I love.
What is your biggest regret?
No regrets. The past is behind us for a reason. We can always learn from it.

I'm highly addicted to Rick Owens and vintage T-shirts.

Which new designers do you follow and why?
I adore Tanya Taylor, Sally LaPointe and Titania Inglis. All three are New York City-based, each with an individual direction that makes the collections stand out amongst the crowd.
Who is the most stylish person you have ever seen?
Michèle Lamy.
What is the first thing you notice on a woman?
Her hair, then her shoes.
What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe
My Rick Owens leather jacket, my Pamela Love jewellery, my vintage band t-shirts.

Their shoes. It can make or break an entire outfit.

Not necessarily. But relying on it can be.
