How do you select your clothing every morning?
It’s basically how I feel in that moment. It can be a film I saw the night before or some styling that really impressed me. And, of course, depending on the weather outside, because you shall never forget to be a little functional.
Please describe your style in three words.
It depends on how I feel. It can be accurate. It can be loose. It can definitely be related to the past, the late 70s or the early 90s.
What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?
Over-styling.
Do you believe in role models?
Yes, I do and I have quite a few. But it’s not related to style, rather to who I want to be someday.
What are your favourite fabrics?
I like velvet, a lot.
Are there any style combinations that you object to?
Anything that makes you look awkward.
Which city has the best-dressed women?
It’s too generic…I could say an Italian, French, or Scandinavian city, but I don’t really feel we should confine great and personal style in categories.
Would you say that you are conservative or bold?
I can be both. The secret is to know when and how to behave in different situations.
What are the rules in the way you dress?
Not too colourful, not too many elements or accessories.
Who taught you what you know about style?
Me, I think. I’ve always been fascinated by everything regarding fashion and costume in general, so I started to become 'greedy', wanting to know more from a very young age.
What is your biggest regret?
I am too young to talk about regrets.
The three essential things a woman should know about style are...
Awareness, personality, and a little confidence.
Which new designers do you follow and why?
They are not at all new, so considering their young age: JW Anderson, Meadham Kirchhoff, Jacquemus, Rodarte.
What is the first thing you notice on a woman?
Her eyes, shoes, hands, and the way she walks.
Which fashion house never fails to impress you?
Cèline, Prada, Valentino.
One article of clothing that a woman needs to pay close attention to is...
Her shoes.
Is comfort an enemy of style?
Not at all.
