What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?
My Dolce & Gabbana denim studded jacket, and my Gucci leather blazer. However, my Pokémon pyjamas would the first thing I'd grab if my house was on fire.
Please describe your style in three words.
Spontaneous, chill, athletic.
What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?
Forgetting to take off the store tag. Or accidentally putting your girlfriend's t-shirt on, only to notice it later in the day.
Do you believe in role models?
Yes. It's always good to be inspired by someone doing what you aspire to do. Life can often get tough, and you can look up to someone who has had a similar journey and learn some lessons from them. I also think it's important to be a role model for others who might eventually be looking at you for the same support.
What are your favourite fabrics?
The stuff money is made of. Denim and dri-fit athletic wear.
Are there any style combinations that you object to?
Yes! If someone wears denim shorts, white socks, sandals, and Hawaiian shirts, he should be ticketed… and that would be my dad!
Which city has the best-dressed men?
I would say London for the great trends that always seem to appear from the streets or Paris for the elegant designs and lifestyle. But for my own style, I would say Los Angeles, for the relaxed, easy-going dressers like myself.
Would you say that you are conservative or bold?
I am more bold in many aspects of my life; I certainly take risks in fashion and when it comes to my career goals. Being conservative in those aspects of my life isn't appealing to me.
What are the rules, if any, in the way you dress?
I think it's important to always look well-groomed, whether you are working or playing. Also, men should not forget their belts when wearing a suit! If you are not confident with the way you feel and how you look, you are wearing the wrong outfit — go change!
Celebrities and style...
Isn't something that I pay too much attention to.
One garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?
BEANIES!
A man should always look like...
Brad Pitt… but seriously.
Who taught you what you know about style?
Paris Libby, and the cartoon charter 'Hey Arnold'. Nothing better than a green sweater, kilt, and a pair of Chucks.
How do you select your clothing every morning?
If I wake up with morning wood, no sweatpants. Or I just grab what's closest to me on the floor. P.S. I have lots of Dolce & Gabbana, so it’s always good, haha!
What is your biggest regret?
Second grade and Christina wanted to kiss me and I said no. She is now a Victoria's Secret model. I screwed up.
The three essential things a man should know about style are...
Every day is a new day to reinvent yourself. Be bold. Style isn’t about what you are wearing; it's about how you feel.
Do you have any shopping rituals?
Yes, I never bring a female and a credit card shopping with me at the same time.
We will never see you wearing...
My mom’s clothes… again.
The most stylish person you have ever seen...
Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. They are Style!
What is the first thing you notice on a man?
His eyes… ha, ha… no, his shoes or the girl on his arm.
The one image that defined your approach to style...
Athletic images.
Which new designers do you follow and why?
Honestly, I don't have an answer for this one.
The only article of clothing that a man needs to pay close attention to is...
His underwear. He never knows when someone else might get to see them.
Is comfort an enemy of style?
It can be. Have you ever heard the phrase 'never get too comfortable'? I agree in all aspects.
Which designer never fails to impress you?
Dolce & Gabbana!
Who would you like to see next in My Style?
Predicted by Mel Kiper as the number one fullback in the coming years, NFL Draft player Braden Wilson.
The best words of advice you have ever heard?
After three drinks most women at the bar look good. Sober up a few hours before deciding who you want to kiss.
