The three essential things a woman should know about style are…
What suits her body. What she likes. What she doesn’t.
Please describe your style in three words.
Classic, clean, tailored.
What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?
I don’t think you can really make style mistakes, it’s about being happy and expressing yourself. The only real no-no for me is ill-fitting clothing.
What are your favourite fabrics?
Natural ones. Silk, cotton, cashmere.
Are there any style combinations that you object to?
Only on myself. I don’t wear green as it is an awful colour on my skin tone.
Which city has the best-dressed women?
Paris.
Would you say that you are conservative or bold?
Conservative.
What are the rules in the way you dress?
Be happy and be yourself.
Celebrities and style...
Can sometimes be a genius combination.
Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?
White shirts.
A woman should always look like…
Herself.
Who taught you what you know about style?
My mother.
How do you select your clothing every morning?
I choose one thing I know I want to wear and then build an outfit around it.
What is your biggest regret?
Not speaking another language.
Do you have any shopping rituals?
Not really.
We will never see you wearing…
Neon green.
Which new designers do you follow and why?
Razan Alazzouni for her stunning, feminine details.
Who is the most stylish person you have ever seen?
My mother.
What is the first thing you notice on a woman?
Her hair and skin.
What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?
Ones with sentimental value.
Who would you like to recommend for My Style?
London-based fashion and travel blogger Lucy Williams, founder of Fashion Me Now.
