Please describe your style in three words.

Whimsical, graphic, strong.

What is the biggest mistake one can make when getting dressed?

Trying too much. Especially when you are 'dying' for trends and 'must haves'.

Do you believe in role models?

Since such an expression exists, it means that someone needs it. Personally, as a woman, I don't. I can be self-sustained without them. But as a designer, I realise that I do need role models for inspiration.

What are your favourite fabrics?

I find it very difficult (almost impossible) to pick just one, since my work has to deal with fabrics all the time and I am familiar with so many of them. With that being said, my favourite fabrics are natural ones such as cashmere, cotton, silk or wool. I prefer working only with these, more or less.

Are there any style combinations that you object to?

Lace, rhinestones, sequins and anything really tight.

Which city has the best-dressed women?

It is rather hard to pick one, but I really like Stockholm and the Swedish way of dressing.

Would you say that you are conservative or bold?

Objectively speaking, I would say the latter.

Celebrities and style…

Are not really the best of friends most of the time.

Name one garment/accessory that you can never have enough of?

Hermès scarves. A classic!

A woman should always look...

Tidy.

Who taught you what you know about style?

Self-education and my life experiences.

How do you select your clothing every morning?

Depending on the weather and mood!

What is your biggest regret?

That summer is too short where I live—Moscow!

The three essential things a woman should know about style are...

Just one: less is more!

Vika Gazinskaya street-style look

Do you have any shopping rituals?

I don’t think so. I guess most women love shopping, so let’s just enjoy it!

We will never see you wearing...

Never say never. But as mentioned before 'lace, rhinestones, sequins and very tight clothes' are not really my thing…

Which new designers do you follow and why?

I prefer 'old masters', such as Nicolas Ghesquière, Alber Elbaz, Stefano Pilati, Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten, and so on…

Who is the most stylish person you have ever seen?

It doesn't feel right to name just one, as there are definitely at least a few out there. But the first name that came to my mind is Sofia Coppola. By being so 'simple', she still manages to stand out in a crowd.

What is the first thing you notice on a woman?

Her energy—the vibe she brings with her.

What are the most treasured items in your wardrobe?

My vintage dresses.

Which designer never fails to impress you?

Dries Van Noten!

One article of clothing that a woman needs to pay close attention to is...

It really depends on the woman.

Is comfort an enemy of style?

I think the main value of the 21st century is the choices we can all have! I'm more than certain that a person can always find the ideal look or a way to be stylish whilst wearing comfortable clothes. Some dresses are amazing: they look gorgeous on you and you can still feel very comfortable in them—it's the same with some high heels. However, some pieces are complicated from the very first minute you try to put them on. So, it depends…

Who would you like to recommend for My Style?

Gaia Repossi.

The best words of advice you have ever heard?

Speak less, do more.
